Overview

In this course, you'll learn how to activate your SonarQube Server license when your instance is air-gapped and can't connect to the internet. You'll use offline activation to exchange a request file and a license file through the Sonar offline license activation portal.

Prerequisites

  • Watch the video Getting started with the Sonar License Portal.
  • A 16-digit license key from the Sonar License Portal. The license manager must have access to the portal and share the key with you if you're not the license manager.
  • The Administer System permission in SonarQube Server.
  • A SonarQube Server 2025.4 or later instance that doesn't connect to the internet.
  • An internet-connected computer and an approved way to move files between it and the machine running SonarQube Server.
