Drawing on the same dataset as our State of Code Developer Survey, this report focuses specifically on enterprise respondents at businesses with more than 1,000 employees to examine what it takes for AI to create reliable, repeatable value inside large engineering organizations.

Results reveal that although 91% of enterprise developers use AI to write new code, 69% stop short of trusting that output as functionally correct, and only 18% have well-defined guidelines or automated checks in place to govern it. The gap between how widely AI is deployed and how rigorously it is verified is where the real returns (and the real risks) are determined.
