Integration overview

Connect your terminal-driven development workflow to SonarQube's analysis engine through the SonarQube MCP Server or SonarQube CLI. The SonarQube plugin for GitHub Copilot CLI gives you /sonarqube: slash commands to list issues, check test coverage, verify quality gate status, and assess dependency risks, all without leaving your terminal. With SonarQube Agentic Analysis configured, the Copilot CLI agent automatically verifies code after every file write, fixes issues, and re-runs analysis until no problems remain. The plugin also includes a secrets-scanning hook that blocks the agent from reading or writing files containing credentials.
