Gitar closes the loop against your CI, not its own opinion
A clean AI review is not the same as a passing build. cubic's Auto-fix, in beta, iterates until cubic's own review finds no open issues. Gitar iterates against the pipeline you already trust. It reads the failure, finds the root cause, pushes the fix, waits for CI, and if the build fails again, re-analyzes with the full history of earlier attempts. If one of its own fixes breaks a passing build, it starts the follow-up repair itself.
The result: changes that arrive merge-ready, not changes that still need a developer to get them green.
Gitar turns CI noise into fixes
Engineers lose hours a week reading CI logs. Gitar reads them for you on every PR, across every job, and de-duplicates identical failures. It separates real breakage from flaky tests and infrastructure noise, and retries unrelated jobs automatically so nobody clicks rerun. It reads GitHub Actions, GitLab Pipelines, Bitbucket Pipelines, and Azure DevOps Pipelines with no setup, and connects to Jenkins, CircleCI, Buildkite, TeamCity, Harness, Bitrise, and Concourse. Cubic does not document CI failure diagnosis.
Gitar governs the merge under your rules
Approving a change makes someone accountable for it. Gitar gives that decision a policy. Risk Triage classifies every PR as Low, Medium, or High risk by impact, not urgency, so a correct change to payments or authorization still comes back High. That level feeds your criteria directly: approve only low- or medium-risk changes, merge only low-risk ones, and block merges on unresolved findings. Risk Triage runs on every plan and every supported code host. Every automated action is opt-in and stays subject to your branch protection. Cubic auto-approves. It does not document merge blocking or auto-merge.
Gitar works where your code lives
Cubic supports GitHub only. Gitar supports GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, and Bitbucket, including GitLab self-managed, Azure DevOps Server, and Bitbucket Data Center. One standard, enforced the same way across every repository and every host, set centrally by your platform engineering team.
Gitar sees what the diff cannot
On Enterprise, Gitar checks every change against the rest of your organization automatically.
- Cross-Repo Analysis finds the repositories a change can break, with no linking and no cap, across code hosts. It catches routes, events, enum values, database columns, and shared CI actions that imports miss, and says which end to fix.
- Cross-PR Analysis flags open PRs that will break each other before either one lands.
- Functional Validation tracks every objective in the linked issue, re-judged on every push, so a PR that cut scope can never read as done.
- Knowledge turns explanations in past PR comments into scoped guidance, pulls context from Confluence, Jira, Linear, Slack, and your MCP services, and cites the source behind each finding.
