SonarSource Trial, Complimentary, and Early Access Supplemental Terms

These Supplemental Terms (“Terms”) govern Customer’s access to and use of (i) Complimentary Access (trial access to commercial Tiers), and (ii) optional Preview Add-Ons (preview, alpha, or beta add-on products and services), as further described in these Terms. Product-specific terms for particular Preview Add-Ons may appear in Supplemental Exhibits at the end of these Terms.

These Terms are incorporated into the Agreement between SonarSource and Customer. All capitalized terms used in the Terms but not otherwise defined have the meanings given to them in the Agreement.

1. Definitions

  1. “Agreement” means the SonarSource Primary Customer Agreement set forth at sonarsource.com/legal/primary-agreement/ or other agreement between Customer and SonarSource governing Customer’s use of Sonar Products.
  2. Complimentary Access. “Complimentary Access” means Customer’s access to SonarSource offerings without a full paid commercial entitlement for the applicable commercial offering. Complimentary Access includes (a) temporary license keys to evaluate Self-Managed Products before purchase; and (b) no-cost, trial, or similar access to Tiers other than the Free Tier.
  3. “Preview Add-On” means an optional preview, alpha, or beta add-on product or service that interoperates with a Product and is designated by SonarSource as subject to these Terms.
  4. “Limited Access Offering” means, collectively, Complimentary Access and Preview Add-Ons.

2. Grants and Conditions

  1. Access. SonarSource may grant a Customer access to the Limited Access Offering. Access to Limited Access Offerings is granted only to specific customers, and does not necessarily grant access to other Limited Access Offerings.
  2. Usage. SonarSource reserves the right to monitor and evaluate Customer’s usage of Limited Access Offerings. If SonarSource determines that Customer’s usage of a Limited Access Offering exceeds reasonable levels, it may implement rate limiting at its sole discretion, including suspending or terminating Customer’s access to that Limited Access Offering.
  3. Voluntary Use. Customer acknowledges that it is not required to use, access, test, or evaluate any Limited Access Offering, and does so voluntarily, at its own discretion and risk.
  4. Cross-deployment Grant. Where Customer’s entitlement under the Agreement and applicable Orders extends only to Self-Managed Products or only to SaaS Products, and a Limited Access Offering requires use of the other delivery model (such as when a SaaS Product user downloads a self-managed tool that interacts with the SaaS Product), SonarSource grants Customer the rights under the Agreement corresponding to that other model for the scope of such Limited Access Offering, subject to these Terms.
  5. Conditions. Customer’s use of Limited Access Offerings under these Terms is conditioned on Customer’s and its Affiliates’ continuous compliance with the Agreement, these Terms, any Supplemental Exhibits specific to a particular Preview Add-On, and the SonarSource Acceptable Use Policy set forth at sonarsource.com/legal/aup/, including use of the Products and Results Data solely for internal development purposes.

3. Limitation of Warranty and Liability

This Section 3 applies to all Limited Access Offerings.

  1. As-is status. Limited Access Offerings are provided strictly “as is” and “as available,” without any express, implied, or statutory warranties, including warranties of title, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. SonarSource does not warrant that Limited Access Offerings will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. SonarSource has no obligation to provide bug fixes, patches, updates, or support for Limited Access Offerings, which may be incomplete, inoperable, or contain errors, and may include features that are never released.
  2. Customer responsibility. Customer is solely responsible for (a) evaluating all output from a Limited Access Offering before relying on or otherwise using it; and (b) complying with all applicable laws and regulations.
  3. Disclaimer of warranty, indemnity, service levels, and Support. NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY IN THE AGREEMENT OR THESE TERMS, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SONARSOURCE PROVIDES NO WARRANTY, NO INDEMNITY, NO SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT OR SERVICE LEVEL COMMITMENT, AND NO SUPPORT FOR LIMITED ACCESS OFFERINGS, EXCEPT AS SONARSOURCE EXPRESSLY AGREES IN WRITING FOR A PARTICULAR OFFERING.
  4. Liability cap. NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY IN THE AGREEMENT OR THESE TERMS, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SONARSOURCE’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO LIMITED ACCESS OFFERINGS IS LIMITED TO USD 250.
  5. Cap Exclusions Inapplicable. Section 14.3 of the Agreement (Cap Exclusions) does not apply to Limited Access Offerings.

4. Confidentiality

Customer acknowledges that Preview Add-Ons, including their existence, features, functionalities, user interface, and documentation, are not available to the general public. Preview Add-Ons and information about them constitute SonarSource’s Confidential Information, and Customer shall treat them in accordance with the confidentiality obligations set forth in the Agreement.

5. Personal data

To the extent any Limited Access Offering permits or involves the processing of Personal Data, SonarSource shall process Personal Data in accordance with the SonarSource Privacy Notice set forth at sonarsource.com/company/privacy/, the Data Processing Addendum set forth at sonarsource.com/legal/data-processing-addendum/ (where applicable under the Agreement), and any Supplemental Exhibits to these Terms.

6. Term

  1. Termination, Generally. SonarSource may terminate or modify the Limited Access Offerings at any time and without liability. Termination of these Terms (or of access to a particular Limited Access Offering) will not affect any liability or obligations incurred by Customer (such as obligations related to Confidential Information or payment obligations for other Products), or licenses and waivers granted by Customer, prior to the effective date of such termination.
  2. Complimentary Access. Complimentary Access under these Terms continues until the first to occur of: (a) Customer enters into a paid Order or Tier for the applicable offering, where SonarSource makes that available; (b) SonarSource’s termination as described in this Section 6; (c) natural expiry of a temporary license key or offer; or (d) expiration or termination of the Agreement.
  3. Preview Add-Ons. Preview Add-On access under these Terms continues until the first to occur of: (a) general availability of the Preview Add-On (typically as a paid version), at which time the terms for such generally available version will apply; (b) SonarSource’s decision to stop offering that Preview Add-On; (c) Customer ceasing to use the Preview Add-On; or (d) expiration or termination of the Agreement.

7. Regulatory Terms

  1. DORA. Section 16.1 of the Agreement (DORA) and the DORA Regulatory Requirements Annex do not apply to Limited Access Offerings.

8. General

Except as supplemented or modified by these Terms, the Agreement remains in full force and effect.

Supplemental Exhibit for Remediation Agent (revised 2026-03-30)

This supplement applies to Customer’s use of the SonarQube Remediation Agent (“Remediation Agent”).

1. Definition and Scope

Remediation Agent helps accelerate fixes by providing Suggestions when a pull request fails the SonarQube Quality Gate. Such Suggestions are delivered as comments within the pull request.

Remediation Agent is Sonar AI Software, as defined in the AI Annex set forth at sonarsource.com/legal/ai/. The additional waivers and limitations of liability in the AI Annex apply to Remediation Agent.

2. Usage Data

“Usage Data”, as defined in the Agreement, includes any data generated from, or relating to, Customer’s or its Users’ access to or use of Remediation Agent, and excludes Results Data. Any Intellectual Property rights in such Usage Data are and shall remain the exclusive property of SonarSource.

3. Usage Allowance

Customer’s use of Remediation Agent is limited to 200 Suggestions per calendar month (“Monthly Allowance”). SonarSource will cease providing new Suggestions once the Monthly Allowance has been reached. The Monthly Allowance resets at the beginning of each calendar month and unused Suggestions do not roll over. SonarSource may, at its sole discretion, grant Customer additional Suggestions beyond the Monthly Allowance.

Supplemental Exhibit for SonarQube Agentic Analysis (revised 2026-03-30)

This supplement applies to Customer’s use of the SonarQube Agentic Analysis feature (“Agentic Analysis”).

1. Definition and Scope

Agentic Analysis enables Customer’s AI coding agents to invoke SonarQube Cloud’s deterministic code analysis within the agent’s development workflow. Agentic Analysis applies Customer’s existing SonarQube Cloud rules, quality profiles, and quality gates and returns analysis results to the requesting agent.

For the avoidance of doubt, Agentic Analysis is not Sonar AI Software, as defined in the AI Annex. Agentic Analysis provides information to Customer’s LLM Technologies provided by third parties, such as Claude Code. Agentic Analysis itself does not use or invoke LLM Technologies.

2. Customer Data

Code submitted to Agentic Analysis for review, together with any analysis results returned to Customer or its agents, is Customer Data. In addition to source code and related metadata, Agentic Analysis may process build artifacts produced in Customer’s CI pipeline (e.g., compiled or bundled outputs). Such build artifacts are Customer Data.

This supplement applies to Customer’s use of SonarQube Context Augmentation (“Context Augmentation”).

1. Definition and Scope

Context Augmentation enables Customer’s AI coding agents to access context about Customer’s software architecture within the agent’s development workflow.

For the avoidance of doubt, Context Augmentation is not Sonar AI Software, as defined in the AI Annex. Context Augmentation provides information to Customer’s LLM Technologies provided by third parties, such as Claude Code. Context Augmentation itself does not use or invoke LLM Technologies.
