As a developer using AI tools to generate code, you’ve likely experienced an exponential increase in the amount of code you produce. But with that has come a massive number of PR reviews and CI failures that are causing bottlenecks down the line, and preventing you from shipping code. Gitar is an agentic AI code review and CI analysis tool that automatically reviews, fixes, approves, and merges code for you— all within your PR interface, using conversational language. There’s zero configuration required to get started using Gitar—just install the app, and you can get feedback on your PR in less than five minutes. Gitar supports GitHub, GitLab, and several CI systems, with more on the roadmap. And if you just want to use Gitar for code review, CI integration is not required. Gitar reviews every PR directly in your PR interface, so there’s no context switching. It’s designed to build trust progressively, keeping you and your team in control of automation. Start by using Gitar to review your code, then check its findings. Gitar is built with a custom AI harness that uses a team of agents to scan your codebase and surface issues all while optimizing token usage to keep costs low. It scans the diff, full file contents, CI logs, PR metadata, linked issues, and on-demand codebase lookups for context awareness to catch logic errors, edge cases, intent-based issues, and bugs that static analysis tools can’t see. Once you trust the signal, block the PR until issues are addressed. You can have Gitar fix issues in one click, or tag the gitar-bot to ask questions and give commands using conversational language. Gitar also detects and fixes CI pipeline failures. It identifies root causes, posts detailed breakdowns, and can push fixes. If you have multiple pipeline failures, Gitar de-dupes the results to keep your environment low noise. When you’re ready, have Gitar automatically commit code and CI fixes using the auto-apply command. Teams can configure custom review and approval rules using natural language. Rules live in your repo as plain text files, so they're version-controlled like any other code. This ensures Gitar will never automatically approve code that doesn’t meet your criteria. Increase automation by allowing Gitar to auto-approve once blocking issues are resolved and approval criteria are met. The PR dashboard comment gives you and your team a clear, consolidated view of every finding, fix, and approval decision, so nothing slips through before merge. When you're fully comfortable with the tool, Gitar can auto-merge. You can also extend Gitar’s capabilities by integrating it with Jira, Linear, Slack, or by creating a custom integration with an MCP Server. The Insights dashboard gives leaders visibility into PRs, pipeline failures, and other metrics to understand the organization’s codebase. The built-in ROI calculator shows exactly how much time and money Gitar is saving your team based on PRs processed and average time to fix issues. The Reviews tab gives you a detailed look at how code review findings are being resolved across your organization. You can see overall resolution rates broken down by severity, and how findings are trending over time on merged PRs. Gitar allows you to start with automated code review on day one, and increase automation as trust grows. By providing fixes and not just feedback, Gitar iterates until your PRs are green, so you can merge and ship more code, faster.
