We solve problems that virtually every company developing software is facing. SonarSource is the leader in code quality & security with more than 85,000 companies using our solution, including Samsung, eBay, EA, Uber, Airbus, BMW.

The SonarQube ecosystem is used everyday by thousands of developers around the globe to spot bugs and track their technical debt. This ecosystem is built around a platform and supports the analysis of more than 20 programming languages. A SaaS offering is being built with SonarCloud. The platform is written in TypeScript, Javascript and Java.

SonarLint is a plugin for popular IDEs such as IntelliJ, Eclipse, VSCode, with the aim to help developers fix code quality issues before they exist. It can show issues on the fly as you code, like a spell checker does for text. It also shows the associated guidelines to help the developer understand the issue and why it is a problem. SonarLint is easy, powerful and fun to use: a good way for developers to learn.

Our team is looking for a talented Java developer passionate about using technologies to create great products. By joining our team, you will be part of an autonomous team without a manager. You will choose what to work on.

  • Support the Open-Source community, other SonarSourcers and the Support team and integrate their feedback
  • Discover with us how we can make SonarLint fly, so that it becomes an absolute must-have tool in the arsenal of all programmers of our targeted programming languages

The skills you will demonstrate

  • Excellent engineering skills and good Computer Science fundamentals
  • Fluency in source code quality: tests (unit and functional), CI/CD
  • Experience with agile practices and principles
  • Experience with IntelliJ/Eclipse plugin and Java UI development is a plus but not required
  • Comfortable in dealing with change and complexity, working on multiple related products, and diverse APIs
  • Leadership; you take initiative and demonstrate your ability to lead a subject from beginning to end
