SonarSource has developed its own state of the art PL/SQL parser and packaged it as a Sonar product extension. Coupled with Quest Software rules engine, it enables to perform objective and automated PL/SQL code reviews against pre-defined best practices. This product benefits from the power of the Open Source Sonar platform by reusing all available core services : Violations drilldown, Hotspots, Code viewer, TimeMachine, Clouds, Coding rule profile management, etc. This plugin can also be used along with the SonarSource Views product to aggregate PL/SQL projects and easily manage a portfolio with millions lines of code.
Adding the PL/SQL product to the Sonar platform gives the capability to transparently launch the Toad Code Xpert functionality through the command line interface and to collect the generated metrics and rules violations.
