Happy new year 2015 from SonarSource! Looking back on the last couple months, we have been busy. SonarQube 4.5 has been released and it now computes the technical debt as a core feature of the platform, followed closely by SonarQube 4.5.1 which is the new long term supported version (LTS). We have also released new code quality and security rules and have made various improvements across all languages including Java, Cobol, C/C++, C# and Javascript.

SonarQube 4.5 is now available for download. The new features include:

SonarQube 4.5.1, the new LTS version was released. Compared with previous LTS, it comes with:

  • Built-in support for technical debt calculation
  • Multi-language analysis with consolidated results
  • Introduction of Quality Gates and Rules Space for more intuitive management of standards and rules
  • UI consistency gain
  • New and updated widgets
  • Improved interactions outside the interface
