SonarSource and Obeo are happy to announce the release of the Sonar ABAP Plugin.
SonarSource and Obeo have combined their expertise to develop this product : Obeo with its parsing and rules engine technology (Obeo Agility) and SonarSource by integrating this technology into Sonar and adding the glue to cover all quality axes.
This plugin enables to perform objective and automated ABAP code quality and standards reviews against pre-defined rule sets and coding best practices.

This new version contains a major technical change by now including our own lexer and parser. This enables the computation of all metrics instead of using CodeXpert results. Cyclomatic complexity is now part of the dashboard.

On 16th of June 2011, Olivier Gaudin from SonarSource is going to co-present at iqnite 2011 with Christopher Marsh-Bourdon from JPMorgan Chase. The presentation, “Continuous Inspection – Fighting the seven deadly sins of source code”, shows how the mission of a developer has changed in the past 10 years, what are the new expectations around the role and why and how continuous inspection supports their fulfillment.

The iqnite 2011 in Geneva offers a combination of inter branch presentations, keynotes and workshops as well as an exhibition throughout a whole day. With several tracks in parallel it enables to respond to individual needs and to take time for intensive networking.
